My skin looks best when I drink enough water. What is enough? For me it's 96-128 ounces of water.
I know for many that sounds like a lot and near impossible. So start smaller. If you are one of those who only drink about a glass a day, up it to 3 glasses. Then when that becomes your normal, triple it again.
Drinking enough water every day is not a fad or trend. Our bodies are made up of approximately 60% water. If you do not drink enough water your body becomes stagnant and toxic. This can cause several symptoms that often people don't realize are related to not drinking enough water.
Water source is also important. Drinking tap water can often add to toxins in our body. If you have city water I HIGHLY recommend getting filtered water. A lot of people say they don't like the taste of water. Sometimes the reason is that they are drinking water with a lot of toxic chemicals. Even a Brita pitcher can help remove many harmful chemicals from your water. My new favorite filter system is Berkey Water Filter Systems. The price may seem high but the filters are good for up to 6000 gallons.
If you are unable to get a filtering system, I would recommend bottled water. Please do not get water with flavors, vitamins or fluoride added. These waters can often be more toxic than good. Icelandic Glacial is supposed to be the cleanest bottle water. But just do a simple google search to get a list of bottled water in your area.
I keep track of my water intake by drinking three to four 32oz mason jars of water. You can fill 3 separate jars in the beginning of the day then set times to have them emptied or just refill one jar 3-4 times. I can literally drink a half a jar in one "drink". I have protective sleeves for my jars so I can easily travel with them without worrying about the glass. I get these SLEEVES and these BOTTLES for when I need something smaller and easier to carry.
I would love to hear your tips on how to improve water intake! Comment below. XOXO
I use reverse osmosis water and make decaffeinated iced tea. I drink that all day long…easier for me than “plain” water but still derive the benefits. ♥️
