Many people have said to me, "maybe you'll be able to hire people soon". But here's the thing, I LOVE every aspect of my business too much to hand anything over to someone else.
From making the products to shipping them and doing events, I love it all!
When I'm preparing for events there are times I am in my kitchen 30-40 hours a week making products. And I don't get tired of it. Sure, I can get physically tired. But making the products is what I truly love to do.
Then packaging them and putting the labels on is rewarding because I get to see my shelves full of the products I worked so hard to make.
I also design my labels myself. Which each year they have changed a bit and I have adjusted my look. I'm extremely happy with the latest and hopefully final design! (some products still have the old labels)
Once the product is packaged and labeled photos are taken. I then get to have fun creating graphics to use for the website and social media. If you know me you know I really love this part!
Events are where the real excited is for me. Being at events and sharing my passion with others is the most rewarding job I could ever imagine. I get to see people's reactions when they try my products. The expression on their face when they begin to rub the body butter into their skin and feel how soft it is. Then they smell it and their eyes get big and their whole body relaxes. That's the sweet spot. The moment they see that not all products are created equally.
What's been really fun is that I put my body wash and lotion in the bathrooms at events. Women get so excited when they find me at the event. Almost all of them say "you're in the bathroom!" So it's kind of been a tag line at events now.
But as much as that is all fun and makes the events fun, the best part is when I can help someone find a product that literally changes their life.
At a recent event I met a woman with extreme psoriasis. She has been embarassed to wear short sleeves because most of her arms have are covered in bright red irritation. I talked to her about the Revitalize Serum. She bought it and a bottle of Unscented Lotion because most lotions irritate her skin more. A few days after the event I received an email
